Old vintage Cuckoo Clock. Marked Germany. I bought this clock many years ago from an antique sale in Iowa where there was many items stored in an old barn... Clock went to the repair shop and I paid 200.00 to have it running again, where they went in and put in new bellows that was about 7 yrs ago. Now it doesnt fit my decore. I love it but it just doesnt fit the style. It does run and it keeps fairly good time when balanced on the wall right. I cant ever seem to get it just rightly balanced to keep perfect time. Im sure a clock shop can get it back on to perfect timing. To insure no damage as i do with all clock I have sold which have weights I send the weights a head of time. And send the clock in a seperate box. This clock has all the parts pendulum, weights, chains, carvings, etc. It is marked on the front MADE IN GERMANY.. as it is a vintage clock and antique I am assuming this means it was made before WORLD WAR II.. I am not an expert however, but seems to be made before the time of East and West Germany. Meaures about 18inches by 11inches clock... the chains for the weights when clock is hung about 6 foot high reach about the floor. thanks and good luck. This clock was purchased in Ohio from an estate 10 miles south east of Caldwell the person had purchased clock 30 years ago in an antique shop. Very nice original patina on the original finish. Has the pine cone weights. Circa 1880 s . Measures 38 length and 26 width, Clock is in working order, however if shipped most clocks will need to be tuned and adjusted.
